Throughout the month of April access a trial of Education Source, an EBSCOhost database.
Education subjects covered: “Education Source covers all levels of education - from early childhood to higher education - as well as all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education and testing.” These areas are a perfect fit for the two Seidel School departments of Teacher Education and Education Specialties. In addition to the areas above, the database covers the majority of SU teaching and scholarly focus areas, such as Curriculum Studies, Educational Technologies, Children’s Literature, Reading Instruction, Language Arts, Science Education, Special Education and Mathematics Instruction. More to the point, the database provides a wealth of coverage for Literacy, which is the initial focus of the doctoral program.
Other disciplines supported: A significant number of major journal titles in nearly all disciplines taught on the SU campus, including Social Work, Sociology, Chemistry, Geography, Women’s Studies, English, Cultural Studies, Communication, Mathematics, Music Education, Art Education, Psychology, Business & Economics, Health Education, Sports Medicine, Modern Languages and Distance Education.
Education Source provides:
- Indexing and abstracts for more than 4,300 academic journals
- Full text for over 1,800 journals
- Full text for more than 550 books and monographs
